Sihanoukville
Known as Sihanoukville, it is located on the southwest coast of Cambodia and named after Prince Sihanouk. It is the largest seaport in Cambodia and the second largest city outside the capital, Phnom Penh, with a status similar to that of "Shenzhen" in China. Sihanoukville was built after 1950 to encourage investment and was established as a duty-free port in 1998. During the war, Sihanoukville was renamed as "Port of Kampong Som", but in the 1990s, it was restored to its original name.
