Introducing Katong district, where Peranakan culture, which refers to the descendants of Chinese immigrants who moved to Malaysia and Singapore, spread for several centuries from the late 15th century. The cute buildings built by Peranakan people and still standing today are called shophouses! They look cute and have an exterior that is unlike any other house. Shophouses are built with several houses next to each other, and the first floor is a store and the second floor is a residence. It is very popular as a photogenic spot, so it is one of the tourist spots you should definitely visit if you go to Singapore! ⚠️Notes ① There are people who actually live there, so be careful not to bother them when taking photos! ② Access is not very good 💧 It is about a 20-minute walk from Paya Lebar Station, and it is tiring to walk on hot days 💧 I recommend taking a bus or taxi! ③ There is surprisingly a lot of traffic, so be careful! A really cute town with pastel colors! The tableware and miscellaneous goods are also cute! The most popular place is "KOON SENG ROAD HOUSES" ✨
