A Magical Weekend Date in Singapore: Gardens, Food & Northern Lights

#favouriteitinerary #travelanywhere A Perfect Weekend Date Itinerary in Singapore – Celebrating Our Monthsary

For our special weekend date to celebrate our monthsary, we planned a memorable day around Marina Bay, blending nature, good food, and a mesmerizing light show at Gardens by the Bay.

Afternoon: Gardens & Jurassic Nest Foodhall

We started the afternoon with a visit to Gardens by the Bay, exploring the Flower Dome and Cloud Forest. The ever-changing floral displays and towering indoor waterfall made for a breathtaking experience, while the cool, misty air provided a refreshing escape from the afternoon heat.

For lunch, we stopped by Jurassic Nest Foodhall, an indoor food court with towering dinosaur statues and a prehistoric-themed ambiance. While prices were on the steeper side, it was still one of the more affordable dining options in the area. We had Thai pad thai and char siew noodles, a satisfying mix of local and international flavors in a lively setting.

After lunch, we took a leisurely stroll through the gardens, making our way towards Marina Bay Sands. The walk was scenic and peaceful, offering plenty of picturesque spots along the way.

Evening: Marina One Buffet & Northern Lights at Gardens by the Bay

As evening approached, we enjoyed an early dinner at Marina One Foodhall, indulging in an international buffet featuring a wide selection of seafood, hotpot, and grilled delights. The variety and freshness of the ingredients made it a worthwhile stop.

We returned to Gardens by the Bay around 8:30 pm to find a good spot for the 9:00 pm show. The highlight of the night was Borealis, a new immersive light and sound installation at Supertree Grove that simulates the enchanting glow of the Northern Lights. The 15-minute spectacle, free for the public, added an extra touch of magic on top of the usual daily Supertree light show.

Ending the night beneath the illuminated Supertrees, we couldn’t have asked for a better way to wrap up our weekend date.
