We were excited to check out the new Pawa Bakery outlet at Plaza Singapura, and it definitely didn’t disappoint. Pawa Bakery is known for its healthier take on traditional pastries, and this new spot makes it easy to enjoy their tasty offerings without the guilt. What’s great about their bagels is that they’re low in sugar and calories, so we can indulge without worrying about overloading on sweetness.
Their bagels are a standout for us, especially the Original Bagel, which is light and satisfying at just $2.50. But we also couldn’t resist trying the Black Sesame and Matcha Red Bean Mochi bagels. The Black Sesame bagel comes with a creamy sesame paste filling and crunchy pine nuts, while the Matcha Red Bean Mochi one is packed with chewy mochi and a subtly sweet red bean filling. Both are delicious and perfect for a quick snack or a lighter breakfast.
We also tried a few of their other pastries, like the Taro Mochi Bread, which is filled with rich orh nee paste and has that wonderful chewy mochi center. The Shio Pan, a salted butter roll, was another winner. It’s soft, slightly chewy, and so addictive—we were going back for seconds before we knew it.
Pawa Bakery really nails the balance between flavor and health. It’s a great spot to grab a healthier treat when we’re craving something sweet but want to keep things on the lighter side. Whether it’s their bagels or other pastries, we’re already planning our next visit to try more of their creations.
