I have always wanted to stay in this hotel since I had dinner with friends at The Cliff (located in the resort premises). Resort premises seem serene - conducive to rest and relaxation (R&R).

Check-in was fast. The room was already pre-paid since I booked it via this platform. I got it during one of their weekend deals too! I only had to leave a 100 SGD deposit after registration.

Before it rained in the afternoon, I was able to walk around and explore the hotel’s vicinity & facilities. Such a delight to see the popular peacocks which roam around the hotel walkway and gardens. At the swimming pool area, there is also a flight of stairs (photo posted here) which I think leads the path to the nearby Palawan or Tanjong Beach.

I ordered in-room dining (their carbonara was delicious!), rested a bit then had a lovely dip in the bathtub to help me relax and prepare for a good night’s sleep. Previous experience at all Sofitel Hotels here in Singapore proved that their pillows tend to be very, very soft. They have a pillow menu so I was able to request for firmer pillows. You may refer to a photo of the pillow menu in this post. The room’s blackout facilities also helped me achieve an uninterrupted 8 hours of sleep.

Assisted buffet was served at Sofitel’s Kwee Zeen restaurant which had indoor and outdoor dining areas. Western food buffet and coffee station are located indoor while local food & chilled juices are located outdoor (where there were peacocks roaming around again). I love their extensive buffet spread!

I will definitely go back to stay for a longer period to maximize what this resort has to offer and venture out to nearby beaches.
