Anderson Bridge is a pedestrian bridge that spans across the Singapore River. It is located near the river's mouth in the Downtown Core Planning Area of Singapore's Central Area. As I walked across, I couldn’t help but admire its simple beauty elegant white arches, intricate ironwork and the calm river view stretching below. It’s not just a bridge for crossing. It’s a little piece of history that quietly stands in the heart of the city.
Built in the early 1900s, Anderson Bridge was once one of the main links between the Civic District and the commercial center. Today, it blends old charm with new energy as people stroll, jog or take photos along the river.
