Malay is part of the major ethnic group in Singapore, and as such you will see several mosque in Singapore as their place of worship. The Sultan Mosque, built in year 1924, is commissioned by the then Sultan of Johor, and has since flourished till now. Prior to this, the original syructure was built more than 100 years ago and this mosque was constructed due to the wear and tear of the original ones. This mosque has adapted the local Malay and Indonesian feature, amd such you see a very traditional and local like structurr of mosque here. The golden dome symbolizes its identity, and its one of the National Heritage of Singapore since 1975.
