At Gardens by the Bay, the Huabiao, or traditional Chinese totem sculpture, rises proudly in the Canyon, blending heritage with modern landscaping. Its intricate carvings and symbolic motifs stand in striking contrast against the rocky terrain and lush greenery surrounding it. As a photographer, I’m drawn to the textures of stone, the detailed patterns, and how light plays across the sculpture throughout the day. Framed by the canyon walls and pathways, the Huabiao becomes a focal point that tells a story of tradition meeting contemporary garden design, creating a scene both majestic and contemplative.
