📍 Arab Street Visit Review
Arab Street, located in Singapore's Kampong Glam district, was a fun alley to stroll through. 🌙 The Islamic architecture and colorful shops lined the streets, creating a completely different atmosphere from the Orchard or Marina districts.
The streets were lined with shops selling Persian rugs, exotic fabrics, traditional clothing, aromatic oils, and handicrafts, making browsing a delight. 🧵🕌 The spices and ornaments were particularly striking, making it feel like a mini-Middle Eastern market within Singapore. Cafes and restaurants were also scattered throughout, making it a great place to sample Middle Eastern cuisine or relax with a refreshing drink.
The only downside was that the alleys were narrow and crowded on weekends due to the high number of tourists. 😅 Also, souvenir prices weren't cheap, so I felt it was more about enjoying the atmosphere than shopping. Still, it's worth recommending because it's close to Sultan Mosque and Haji Lane, making it a great place to explore together. It's also a great way to experience Singapore's multicultural charm. 👍
⏰ Recommended Visiting Times: Relatively quiet in the morning, lively in the afternoon and evening.
