National Palace of Pena - Sintra

The colorful and Castelo da Pena is a must-see attraction in Sintra, offering stunning views and a fascinating mix of architectural styles. The castle’s vibrant exteriors and well-preserved interiors provide plenty of photo opportunities and historical insights.

The surrounding park features lush gardens, hidden pathways, and scenic viewpoints worth exploring. Due to its popularity, arriving early helps avoid crowds and ensures a more relaxed visit. The steep walk up to the castle can be challenging, but shuttle services are available for convenience.

We took a tuk tuk to visit 3 landmarks in the area which was quite convenient taking into consideration that is very hot and steep.
