Wat Rueang Saeng, Ubon Ratchathani

Wat Sirindhorn Wararam Phu Phrao, also known as Wat Phu Phrao or its popular name, Wat Rueang Saeng, is located in Chong Mek Subdistrict, Sirindhorn District, Ubon Ratchathani Province. It was built by Phra Ajahn Boonmak Thitipanyo, who traveled from Laos to stay at Phu Phrao and built a temple named "Wat Phu Phrao." Later, around 1973–1974, Phra Ajahn Boonmak returned to Wat Phu Marong in Champasak Province. Due to political unrest in Laos, Wat Phu Phrao was abandoned until 1992, when Sirindhorn District separated from Phibun Mangsahan District, and the temple's name was changed to "Wat Sirindhorn Wararam" after the district. In 1999, Phra Khru Kamolphawanakorn (Siton Kamalo), the abbot and renovator of Wat Phu Lon in Song Yang Subdistrict, Si Mueang Mai District, Ubon Ratchathani Province, was invited to renovate Wat Phu Phrao. Until receiving permission to establish a temple on May 2, 2002, under the name "Wat Sirindhorn Wararam Phu Phrao", with a total temple area of ​​15 rai, received the royal charter on July 26, 2004. #VisitUbonRatchathani #UbonRatchathani
