Norwegian Preikestolen

Even though it's thrilling, the Norwegian Preikestolen, also known as Pulpit Rock, is a must-visit destination in one's lifetime. Standing 604 meters high, this cliff juts out dramatically over the Lysefjord coastline and is a renowned hiking route.
Early in the morning, we took a tourist bus to the trailhead and rented trekking poles to begin our hike. As we started, a brief rain shower fell, and the thick fog made visibility extremely low. Several sections of the trail run along the edge of the cliff, making every step nerve-wracking.
When we reached Preikestolen, everything was shrouded in white mist, and we couldn't see anything. After sitting there for an hour and just about to leave, the blue sky and white clouds suddenly appeared, and we quickly captured the moment. The grandeur of Preikestolen is not diminished even when the Lysefjord is veiled by clouds and mist.
On the way down, the sky cleared, and the path was surrounded by stunning cloud formations. I am deeply grateful for this experience—ascending and descending in two different weather conditions, witnessing two distinct landscapes, which made me even more in awe of nature.
