♨️Wat Matchimawat Worawihan, formerly known as Wat Yai Sri Chan, is named after the wealthy man who built it. It dates back over 300 years, dating back to the Ayutthaya period.♨️
🌟This temple is home to a wealth of art, including architecture, sculpture, and paintings. It demonstrates the fusion of cultural traditions and the harmonious coexistence of people from different cultures, including Thais, Chinese, and Westerners who once conducted trade.🌟
🌟The temple also houses the Matchimawat National Museum, built with dedication and respect for the unique local culture. It also houses a collection of antiques, ancient Buddha images, a symbol of Songkhla, and artifacts from the surrounding area. It is considered the first museum in Songkhla Province.🌟
🎫The temple is free to enter, and visitors can visit both the temple's ubosot (ordination hall) and the museum daily. Parking is available within the temple grounds.
