Just back from Jiuzhaigou, the biggest surprise wasn’t the blue of the lakes, but this Hilton that brought a Tibetan village into the lobby! From the moment you step into the entrance decorated with tree roots and petrified wood, even the air smells like fresh pine branches. The 46㎡ room has an extra-large bay window, so you can lie down and watch the stars at night—this is exactly how a vacation in Western Sichuan should be～

After a whole day of hiking in the scenic area, the last thing you want is noise disturbance. Be sure to get to breakfast early! The “Kai” all-day dining restaurant opens at 6:30 to accommodate guests rushing to the scenic spots. The freshly cooked Dan Dan noodles with a soft-boiled egg paired with Tibetan yogurt is incredible～🥚 The lunch Tibetan-Qiang beef fried rice smells amazing, with large chunks of yak meat. In the afternoon, you can go to the Qiongniao lobby bar for afternoon tea—rum chocolate cake with a latte, slowly enjoyed while gazing at the lake view outside the window～☕ Don’t miss the Xiangxiong specialty restaurant’s barbecue at night. Tibetan-style grilled lamb skewers sprinkled with cumin, followed by a sip of butter tea, warm both heart and stomach～🍢

The hotel is only 12 kilometers from Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area, a 15-minute drive, with free parking right at the door—super convenient～🚗 For first-timers to Western Sichuan worried about altitude sickness, oxygen equipment can be borrowed for free in the room. Remember to visit Jiuzhaigou first, then Huanglong～💨 The Intangible Cultural Heritage Tibetan-Qiang Museum is in the hotel district, where you can experience making incense plaques at night and take home exclusive souvenirs～🎁

I did tons of research for my trip to Rehai, and this hotel I picked blindly totally hit my heart! From entrance to check-in, the service was thoughtful, full of delightful details. After staying, I can’t help but want to share this wonderful experience with everyone～

Soundproofing and cleanliness

Closing the door instantly blocks out the outside noise, and I slept very deeply, not even hearing my companion turn over👂! The room was spotless, the sheets and duvet cover had a faint fresh scent, the bathroom tiles were shiny enough to reflect, and even the gaps around the washbasin were perfectly clean. A dream for cleanliness fanatics✨!

Room layout

The sea view room I stayed in was super comfortable and didn’t feel cramped or oppressive🛏️! There was a small sofa by the window, perfect for basking in the sun and watching the sea during the day～ The wardrobe was spacious enough to open a suitcase without taking up space, and there was a separate dressing table, very convenient for girls to do makeup💄!

The toiletries had a light floral scent and felt very comfortable to use. They also provided makeup remover pads and cotton swabs, super thoughtful🧴! The mattress was just the right firmness, no backache after sleeping long, and pillows came in both soft and firm options～ The room had a mini fridge, perfect for chilling drinks, and the air conditioning cooled and heated quickly. It also had a humidifier, so no dryness in winter💧!

Dining experience

Breakfast was very rich in variety, both Japanese and Western styles. The freshly baked bread was crispy outside and soft inside, and tasted amazing with butter🍞! There was also Rehai’s specialty seafood porridge, loaded with shrimp and scallops, so fresh it blew my mind～ For dinner, you can choose Kaiseki cuisine, with ingredients so fresh you can taste the ocean. The grilled sea bream had crispy skin and juicy tender meat🐟! The restaurant’s window seats offer a night view, with lights reflecting on the sea, super romantic. The waitstaff promptly refilled water and changed plates, making the experience perfect～

Other tips

The hotel is not far from Rehai Station, about a 10-minute walk, and you can also call a free shuttle🚗! The front desk offers Chinese service, making communication very easy, and can help book hot springs and attraction tickets～ After checkout, you can store your luggage for free, so you can shop and eat without worry before picking it up later～ I recommend choosing a high-floor sea view room for a wider view and to watch the sunrise over the sea in the morning🌅!
