Huanglong is a national park and World Heritage Site located in northwestern Sichuan Province, China. It's famous for its cascading limestone pools, formed by calcium deposits, resembling golden dragon scales. The park also boasts mountainous terrain, waterfalls, hot springs, and lush forests, home to giant pandas and golden snub-nosed monkeys.

Travertine Pools:
The main highlight of Huanglong's fame. These pools, adorned with a variety of colors, ranging from blue, emerald green, and gold, are formed by calcium deposits in the water, creating cascading cascades down the mountainsides.

Located in a mountainous region, Huanglong boasts high mountains covered with ancient pine forests and diverse vegetation.

Getting there:
You can take the high-speed train from Chengdu to Huanglongjiuzhaigou Station, then transfer to the park. Alternatively, you can rent a private car.

September-October is the most beautiful autumn season, when the leaves turn vibrant shades of orange, red, and green.

Altitude Sickness:
The park is located at an altitude of over 3,000 meters. Elderly visitors, those with heart disease or high blood pressure, should take extra precautions.
Winter Closures:
The park may close during the winter (approximately November-March) due to snow cover and natural regeneration.
