I have to say, October is the most beautiful season in Huanglong! Walking along the colorful pools, this is what I saw: the emerald travertine pools sparkling under the sunlight, surrounded by layers of red leaves. Especially near Huanglong Temple, the red leaves look as dazzling as fiery clouds!

Travel Tips:
1. It’s recommended to buy a combo ticket for the sightseeing bus + uphill cable car to save energy for the most beautiful mountaintop colorful pools.
2. Remember to bring sunscreen and sunglasses; the sunlight on the plateau is really intense.
3. Every viewing platform along the hike is worth stopping at—don’t miss any angle.
4. Prepare some snacks and water, as dining options inside the scenic area are limited.
5. Wear comfortable hiking shoes; some sections can be quite slippery.

Many visitors ask me if it’s really possible to see the colorful travertine pools reflecting the blue sky. I can responsibly say: Yes! Especially in mid-October when the sun is just right, the pools look like pieces of jade~
