The rainy season in Songyang once again stirs my desire to live in seclusion

During the rainy season in Jiangnan,
finding a mountain retreat to temporarily escape the mundane world
seems like the best choice.
Imagining burning incense while listening to the rain, embracing the misty clouds atop the mountains—
how delightful it would be.

So, in the drizzling plum rain season,
I returned to Songyang,
this spiritual homeland,
to see the overgrown greenery of the old familiar places.

Traveling from Wuyi to Songyang,
the rain never ceased.
The misty clouds, like old friends,
waved and smiled faintly at me—
turning back, I caught the scent of green plums.

This time, I skipped the bustling, famous villages
and went instead to **Langshu Village** in Sidu Township.
Langshu Village was nearly becoming a hollow village,
until **Lanshu Shanfang** took over, transforming the entire village into a cluster of homestays.
In Songyang, a mountain town densely packed with homestays,
such an ambitious project is rare.

Along the way, besides ancient villages fading in and out of the misty rain,
there were tea fields, bamboo forests, mountain rocks, streams, and old temples.
Though the village has undergone major renovations,
27 ancient trees, two to three hundred years old, still thrive,
embodying people's yearning for rural life.

The beauty of Wu's mountains and Yue's waters is never enough,
but Songyang—
I suspect the green mountains see me the same way—
is a place I could never tire of visiting.
