A spectacular view of the sea and prayers intersecting | Naksansa Temple

#Spring0yenTrip

"Naksansa Temple" is a Buddhist temple built on a cliff along the east coast. It is one of the most photogenic temples in Korea, combining the sea, sky, and a space for prayer. 📿

A huge Kannon statue watches over the sea in the temple grounds, and the sunrise is truly mystical. As the clear air and sea breeze intersect, you are enveloped in a silence that cleanses the soul.

It is accessible from Yangyang and Sokcho, and can be reached by bus or rental car. It is difficult to make a day trip from Seoul, so if you are staying in the East Sea area, this is a spot you should definitely visit!
