Known as a city floating on water, Stockholm is a stunning port town with breathtaking waterfront views. Here's how you can spend a day in this charming city:
① Gamla Stan (Photos 4 & 5)
Gamla Stan, meaning "Old Town of Stockholm," is the heart of the city. It's a hub for stylish cafes and unique shops. Despite being the capital, it’s relatively uncrowded, so you can easily find a seat at a cafe without much waiting. Explore the charming shops and enjoy browsing through the beautifully displayed items. The colorful, tall buildings make it incredibly photogenic 📸. Walking through the streets with a camera in hand is a delightful experience—highly recommended!
② Viewpoint by the Crown (Photos 1 & 2)
Near the National Museum, there’s a bridge offering a picturesque view of Gamla Stan. Along the harbor, you’ll find plenty of benches and spots to sit, where you can relax and take in the harbor breeze. It’s a perfect way to unwind and feel at peace 😚. On the bridge, there’s a crown that makes for a great photo spot. Although it’s a bit of a walk from Gamla Stan, it’s definitely worth the visit.
③ Stockholm Cathedral (Photo 3)
The oldest church in Stockholm, this historic site hosts royal coronations and weddings. The interior exudes a sacred atmosphere that feels truly cleansing. The intricate sculptures inside are breathtaking, offering a glimpse into Sweden’s rich history.
④ Princess Cake (Photo 6)
A traditional Swedish dessert, the Princess Cake is a stylish treat covered in green marzipan. In Sweden, it’s commonly enjoyed during birthdays and celebrations 👸. This iconic cake is available at most cafes, so be sure to try it!
Enjoy the captivating charm of Stockholm to the fullest!
