This time we flew to Surabaya for a 3 day 2 night Chur burst trip
This includes sleeping 1-2 hours a night and running up the volcano to watch the sunrise without opening your eyes/driving up to 6 hours a day/taking a shower at twelve degrees without hot water/sleeping at the airport and so on
Very "rough skin" but all at once ⌯'o'⌯👇🏻
Take in the twin volcanoes of Sewu, Bromo + Ijen
It became the most beautiful scenery I have ever seen!

That day we checked into a hotel at the foot of the mountain
Left by jeep at 2am (only slept for 1 hour Z☡zᶻ)
I had a bowl of hot Indonesian noodles and coffee at the mountainside of Jingang Mountain
Walk for about 5 minutes to reach the sunrise viewing spot
The sky without light pollution is full of stars
It feels like the entire galaxy is packed by us ɵ̷̥̥᷅ 𖤋ɵ̷̥̥᷄
From midnight stars to golden sunrise the color of the sky keeps changing
Black, pink, light blue, purple, yellow, orange, blue...
Also super lucky to see comets and meteors ☄️

After watching the sunrise, we crossed the sand sea and headed straight to the crater
On the way, the driver will find a place to help everyone and the jeep take pictures 🤳
Near the foot of Bromo we started hiking 20-30mins up the mountain
As you climb the 250 steps, you will slowly smell the smell of sulfur
Walk along the edge of the crater and see the rising heat, shocking

Pilgrims can buy "bouquets for prayer" to throw into the crater
To show respect and blessing to the mountain god
I chose to ride a horse on the return trip (I was surrounded by Indonesian guys soliciting business 😂)
The route is rugged It feels like traveling through ancient times The experience is quite special ~

The scenery I saw that day was really crazy!
I feel like I can't go only once in my life (hopefully there will be a sea of clouds and sunrise next time ☁️

* If you are afraid of the cold and do not want to bring thick clothes, you can rent a down jacket at the restaurant for about $10-15hkd
* Depart early to fight for the front row viewing position
* Bromo peak season is July and August, during this time it does not rain and no clouds cover; September and October crowds decrease, is the most suitable time to see the volcano
