During my last trip to Sun Moon Lake, I noticed this eye-catching building and decided to make a stop here whenever I passed by again!
I arrived at around 4 PM, and even though it's almost June, the weather was still very hot, with the sun shining brightly 🌞.
The visitor center has a large parking lot, making parking very convenient—and it's free! 👍
As expected, this building was designed by a renowned Japanese architect. Its streamlined design is incredibly aesthetic and visually striking. From the entrance, the view is framed beautifully, and as you walk to the end, the stunning scenery of Sun Moon Lake unfolds before your eyes. Truly breathtaking!
On the first floor, there are shops, restrooms, and water dispensers. The environment is clean and comfortable overall. The second floor features an open observation deck with expansive views, but since there's no shade, I quickly took some photos and headed back downstairs to avoid getting sunburned.
Surrounding the area is a cycling route around the lake. Across the road, there are bike rental shops. With free parking and easy access, many people seem to use this spot as a starting point for their cycling adventures!
Inside the visitor center, there's a pedestrian walking area that takes about 20 minutes to complete. It's quite relaxing, with scenic spots for visitors to take photos and unwind.
I left at around 6 PM, spending about two hours here.
