Nantou Sun Moon Lake Fleur-de-la-Ville Hot Springs Resort

The Lalu, the Hanbi Tower, and Sun Moon Lake Resort are the three five-star hotels in Sun Moon Lake. The Lalu is best known for its family-friendly getaways. I finally found the opportunity to bring my whole family along.

The Lalu is conveniently located just three minutes from the Yuchi Interchange on National Highway 6. While not directly adjacent to the lakeside promenade, its elevated location offers a stunning view of Sun Moon Lake. Even photos are beautiful without filters!

Although check-in is limited to 3 PM, you can use the facilities immediately after check-in. I especially recommend the à la carte beef noodles in the lobby cafe; the beef portion is generous, the broth is rich, and the noodles are chewy.

After lunch, we took the kids to the Family Park. It has a large indoor playground, hot springs, and a water park with a variety of pools, ensuring fun for both adults and children.

We chose the "One Night, Two Meals" package. Dinner was a basic buffet, and the selection was quite generous. Each table received a bottle of Trono Real Premium Red Wine, valued at NT$700, which paired perfectly with the freshly grilled steak and halibut.

There was also a variety of fried items, pre-made hand-rolled sashimi sushi, Peking duck, stuffed egg cakes, mixed drinks, and a variety of interesting and unique desserts.

We chose a Deluxe Mountain View room, but if you can get a seat in rooms like 905 or 907, even a Mountain View room would still offer a beautiful view of Sun Moon Lake, effectively combining both mountain and lake views! Welcome fruit and refreshments were also provided. The refrigerator even had Masher's yogurt, which was both healthy and delicious. As a pillow snob, I even thought I could reserve a pillow menu from 20 different options.

Unfortunately, the included crib mattress was quite hard, and my child wasn't used to it. The Executive Corridor, where you can enjoy free drinks, is only available in Deluxe Lake View rooms or above.

Breakfast is served until 12:00 PM, so you can enjoy a snack in your room before enjoying the morning activities or using the hotel facilities. Then, check out and enjoy a leisurely meal until lunch.

The breakfast is also very rich. The highlight is the Hualien Gongzheng Steamed Buns, Gua Bao, Su Mama Tangyuan, Tainan Beef Soup, Singapore Bak Kut Teh, Korean Flat Croissants, and all the other standard hotel buffet options.

After checking out, you can continue to use the facilities until 5:00 PM. It's a perfect place to relax and enjoy the hotel's services. Make the most of it!
