The majesty of the S-shaped waterway and sunset! The best view of Suncheon Bay from Yongsan Observatory (B)
The highlight of our #AutumnTravel at Suncheon Bay Wetland is the view from the Yongsan Observatory. From the wetland entrance, past Mujingyo Bridge and the reed deck, it's a steep climb of about 40 minutes, but the effort is completely rewarded the moment you reach the observatory. The observatory offers a panoramic view of the vast Suncheon Bay Wetland, especially the unique "S-shaped waterway" created by the confluence of the Dongcheon and Isacheon streams, a true work of nature.
The highlight of the experience is undoubtedly the sunset. Climb to the Yongsan Observatory just in time for sunset and you'll be greeted by a breathtaking spectacle of the crimson sunset over the reed fields, mudflats, and S-shaped waterway. The peaceful and majestic scene, as the sea reflects the crimson sunset, casting the surrounding islands into black shadows, is almost too beautiful to capture on camera. It's the ultimate romantic photo spot for couples, and I've personally experienced why photographers flock to Suncheon Bay every year during this time. Climbing to the Yongsan Observatory in time for the sunset is the ultimate tip for your #falltrip in Suncheon Bay!
