Family, on this trip to Surabaya, I stayed at the historically rich Majapahit Hotel Surabaya. The experience was amazing, and I just have to share it with you!

📍 Location
The hotel is located in the Tunjungan area of Surabaya, not far from the city center. Everything you need for dining, entertainment, and fun is right around the corner, making getting around super convenient. Whether you want to check out popular local attractions or hunt for unique cuisine, it’s all easily doable.

🏛️ History and Culture
Built in 1910, it carries a deep historical heritage and shares roots with several well-known old hotels across Asia. It also holds a unique place in Indonesia’s national history. Every day at 2 PM and 4 PM, there are exclusive historical tours where you can join staff to dive deep into the hotel’s past—super interesting!

💒 Architecture and Design
Stepping into the hotel feels like traveling back to the Dutch colonial era. The European vintage architectural style, with abundant use of wood and brass fixtures, creates a full retro vibe. Every photo you take looks fantastic! From the grand chandeliers in the lobby to the vintage murals along the corridors, every detail tells a story of the past.

🍽️ Dining Experience
The breakfast options are so abundant they’ll leave you spoiled for choice, perfectly blending Western dishes with Indonesian specialties, taking your taste buds on a global journey. The hotel’s restaurants each have their own charm, catering to different tastes, making every bite a delight.

🛀 Leisure Facilities
Swimming pool, gym, spa—no leisure facility is missing. After a day of fun, you can relax with a swim or enjoy a spa treatment to unwind and instantly melt away your fatigue.

🛏️ Room Experience
The basic room I stayed in was about 40 square meters—super spacious. The room is decorated in a European vintage style with high-quality wooden furniture. However, there were some minor flaws, like the phone and other facilities feeling a bit outdated, and the hot and cold water labels were worn out. I hope the hotel can put more effort into hardware maintenance.
