Yonghui Zen Temple

Yonghui Zen Temple is located on the top of Shibi Mountain. It is said that in the third year of the Longqing period of the Ming dynasty (1569), Master Hanshan came here to build a hut, and it gradually became a famous scenic spot. Today, there is still a huge stone on the top of the mountain, with the words "Hanshan Platform" engraved on it, because there was a place where Master Hanshan meditated and practiced beside the huge stone. This is a small mountain range protruding into Taihu Lake, with a winding shape, extending into Taihu Lake, like an island on the water. There is a depression on the east side of the mountain top, surrounded by stone walls like a knife, more than ten meters high. Yonghui Zen Temple is built in the "stone wall nest". The inscriptions of celebrities add a strong historical and cultural flavor to the scenic spot. The plaque of "Daxiong Hall" signed by Zhao Puchu (Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference) is hung high in the temple. At the back door of Yonghui Zen Temple, there is an 800-year-old photinia tree, rooted in the cracks of the stone wall, with half of its roots in the cracks and half exposed outside. Because the tree trunk and roots are clearly presented to tourists, and they are close to the steep stone wall, like a dragon lying down, like a giant python circling, with an advantage, it stretches straight to the top of the cliff, showing a piece of green. As soon as you enter the temple, two ginkgo trees one zhang apart are very eye-catching. These are two ginkgo trees from the Ming dynasty. The one on the right is female, and the one on the left is male. Two people hug each other. The "marriage" of this pair of male and female ginkgo trees has lasted for more than 500 years, and they should have many descendants.

On the water-viewing platform in front of the temple, you can look at Yugang Village. Now there are many red-billed gulls. These elves on the sea often appear here. Order a cup of tea and watch the red-billed gulls quietly. The sunset is beautiful, and I really love the life here.
