
Tangxiyuan National Forest Park, located 42 kilometers southwest of Xiping County, Henan Province, boasts a forest coverage rate exceeding 95 %. Divided into four tourist areas: Tangxi Gorge, Tangxi Lake, Spider Mountain, and Paomaling, it combines breathtaking natural scenery with the profound culture of the Yanhuang people. It is known as the source of ancestors, swords, and water.
The entire forest area boasts a harmonious blend of mountains and water, with forests and rocks nestled in harmony, creating an elegant environment and breathtaking scenery. The park is divided into four scenic areas: the Tangxi Gorge Natural Landscape Area, the Spider Mountain Buddhist Culture Area, the Paomaling Mountaineering and Adventure Area, and the Tangxi Lake Water Sports Area. These four scenic areas are both integrated and uniquely distinctive.
In spring, flowers bloom in profusion and bees and butterflies dance; in summer, trees are lush and green, waterfalls flow; in autumn, branches are laden with fruits and the forests are full of colors; in winter, the mountains are covered with white snow.
Famous landscapes in the park include the natural fort, the Ancestor Peak, and the Youlou Mountain. Famous cultural attractions include the Pansi Cave of Leizu, the Ancestor Temple, the Warring States Period Zhilu City, Tangxi City, the Iron Smelting Furnace, the Ancient (Taihe Year 1) Mill, and the Zhiyun Paomaling Ridge.
