I even feel the Crowne Plaza brand name doesn't do it justice. The hotel is located in the core area of Taihu New City in Wujiang, Suzhou.

Why do I call it the 3.0 version of Crowne Plaza? Because it's quite different from regular Crowne Plaza hotels. The owner is Suzhou Wujiang Zhi Yin Group, a private enterprise that started in the restaurant business. They really understand what consumers want when it comes to food, so this Crowne Plaza they've opened far exceeds the brand's standard.

My first impression upon arrival was that the modern business-style Crowne Plaza has been transformed. I couldn't see much of its business attributes at this location.

For check-in, you no longer have to stand - guests can sit down during the process. Starting from 11 AM, the lobby offers complimentary snacks, fruits, juices, coffee, and tea for hotel guests throughout the day, providing convenience for those who miss breakfast or need to leave in a hurry. The lobby impressed me not just with its luxury but with its vibrant atmosphere created by abundant fresh flowers, which reflects the hotel's daily operational standards and maintenance.

Throughout various public spaces, you can see fresh flowers. Through the Crowne Plaza Suzhou Donghu Lake, you can tell whether a hotel wants to do well, is being properly operated, or is just doing the bare minimum - consumers have their own measuring stick for this.

I stayed in a Presidential Suite with an area of 92 square meters. The room makes you redefine the Crowne Plaza brand - my first thought was that it exceeds expectations. Discussing with friends, everyone agreed it doesn't match the typical business five-star style. The room blends Jiangnan watertown and Hui-style elements.

The living room cleverly incorporates new-generation home aesthetics with an open layout and a dedicated tea area that can also serve as a desk. The high ceilings deserve special mention - they're extremely comfortable.

The minibar drinks and snacks are complimentary. The tea bags are CHALI brand specially customized for Crowne Plaza, and the coffee and tea cups are from Singapore brand Luzerne.

The bedroom features a small sitting area, with the entire color scheme being exquisitely modern.
The bedding is excellent, with a Kingkoil mattress ensuring comfortable sleep.
Turndown service: perfectly detailed. Special note that the hotel provides two free laundry items daily for guests, not just washing but also ironing before returning to your room.

The dressing room has a small vanity, and the bathroom features double sinks paired with a TOTO smart toilet. Worth mentioning that this Crowne Plaza provides facial cleanser for guests in rooms, with gentle amino acid ingredients.

The Chinese restaurant "Rong Fu" on the second floor is highly recommended - great service, delicious food, and reasonable prices.

The restaurant's size and decor show the owner's excellent taste. From tables to plates to the dishes served, everything gets top marks.
The Four Seasons buffet restaurant on the first floor focuses on breakfast and dinner buffets with excellent value. The restaurant is very spacious, and the dinner buffet is extremely abundant with seafood, desserts, and local specialties. The photos below show just part of the buffet.

Transportation: For out-of-town guests, the fastest way to reach the hotel is by high-speed rail to Suzhou South Station, then a 20+ minute taxi ride to the hotel.

Finally, I want to say this Crowne Plaza hotel is definitely worth knowing about. You can see the entire team operates very well daily. Special mention goes to Nancy at the hotel, who helps create an excellent experience in terms of dining, service, and attention to detail. This is a Crowne Plaza that can surprise guests, especially with its outstanding executive lounge.
