Countdown 3 days! "From the Humble Administrator's Garden to Monet's Garden" is about to conclude!

From July 15 to October 23 (only 3 days left), the West Wing of Suzhou Museum is proudly presenting the large-scale garden art exhibition "From the Humble Administrator's Garden to Monet's Garden." This exhibition gathers over 160 precious exhibits, systematically tracing the aesthetic origins of Eastern and Western gardens, unfolding an artistic dialogue across time and space.

The exhibits include calligraphy, paintings, artifacts, cultural collectibles, and Western art, featuring Monet's authentic masterpieces "Water Lilies" and "The Water Lily Pond" on full display. The exhibition is divided into five major sections, progressing from the literati's ideal of reclusion, Jiangnan garden-making techniques, to the refined pleasures of garden life, presenting mutual inspiration and resonance between Eastern and Western gardens.

Key exhibits include seven rare Song and Yuan dynasty calligraphy and paintings, such as Zhao Mengfu's "Running Script Copy of Lanting Xu Scroll," and Suzhou Museum's treasure "Seven Gentlemen Painting"; thirteen representative works from the "Four Masters of Wu School," including Tang Yin and Wen Zhengming; seventeen masterpieces by nine generations of the Wen family, with the rare full set of Wen Zhenheng's "Tang Poetic Imagery"; a collection of Song dynasty ceramics from the five famous kilns: Ru, Ge, Guan, Ding, and Jun.

The exhibition culminates with Monet's "Water Lilies" and "The Water Lily Pond," whose lively brushstrokes and hazy colors echo the Eastern garden aesthetic of "learning from nature," poetically concluding this cross-cultural dialogue.
