Bulamsan Brings the Chill

#summervacay Bulamsan is one of those super convenient hikes sitting right between Seoul and Gyeonggi-do, but it still gives off full-on nature vibes. It’s the kind of mountain you hit when you need a quick escape but don’t wanna go too far. The trail starts out pretty mellow, then gradually ramps up with rocky stairs and a few steeper scrambles, enough to make you sweat without full-on dying.

What’s awesome about Bulamsan is the views come fast. Halfway up and there’s Seoul peeking out through the trees. The rocks at the summit are wild too—huge boulders that you can climb around for the best photo ops. The 360 view at the top is chef’s kiss, city skyline on one side, forested ridges on the other.

It’s popular but not overwhelming, and there's a good mix of solo hikers and weekend warriors. Pack light, bring water, and enjoy a solid half-day hike that feels way more remote than it actually is. Bulamsan delivers.
