Showa Kinen Park is especially known for its alleys of ginkgo trees near the Tachikawa Gate turning bright yellow. The park also has many maple trees, in particular, but not only, in its Japanese Garden.

How to Get There.
Showa Kinen Park is about 40 minutes from central Tokyo by train. Because of its enormous size, the park has several gates. The two most convenient ones are near Nishi-Tachikawa Station (a two-minute walk) and Tachikawa Station (a 10-minute walk).
