Tsokolateria is a cafe and restaurant that uses Tablea, a traditional Filipino chocolate ingredient.
Tablea is made by roasting 100% pure cacao beans, peeling and grinding them, and forming them into round or square lumps.
It is pure cacao that has been minimally processed and does not contain sugar, milk, or emulsifiers like regular chocolate. It is richer and more bitter than dark chocolate, and has a strong aroma.
This cafe offers drinks and creative fusion menus that bring out the deep flavor of local cacao. It emphasizes the deep and bitter flavor of cacao unique to the Philippines, not imported chocolate.
Another unique feature of this place is that they directly stir the chocolate with a traditional whisk (Batirol).
It is located in the center of many tourist attractions such as Tagaytay, Manila, and Baguio, so it is easily accessible.
The atmosphere is emotional and warm with natural lighting, making it a great place to visit with friends, lovers, and family.
It is not just a simple cafe, but a space where you can enjoy Philippine tradition in a modern way. If you want to have a different experience while traveling in the Philippines, I highly recommend you visit here.
The place I visited is located in Tagaytay, so if you go outside, you can see the Taal Volcano, albeit small.
Taal Volcano is the world's smallest active volcano with a mysterious terrain with a volcanic island inside a large lake and another volcanic lake inside that island.
If you want to have a different experience while traveling in the Philippines, I highly recommend visiting Tsokolateria.
