🚗 Transportation
✈️ There is no airport in Tai'an. You can choose Jinan Yaoqiang International Airport, and then take a bus or taxi to Tai'an.
🚄 Tai'an Railway Station is a high-speed train station with many trains and convenient transportation. Mount Taishan Railway Station is an ordinary train station and is closer to the city center.
🚌 You can take a bus to Mount Taishan Scenic Area in the city. Bus No. 3 can take you to Hongmen and Tianwaicun. You can also take a taxi, which is reasonably priced.

🎫 Tickets
Tickets are CNY 115 per person. You can buy tickets in advance on the "Mount Taishan Scenic Area" official account or Trip.com and other platforms.
Minors aged 6–18 and full-time undergraduates or students with lower academic qualifications can enjoy a discounted ticket price of CNY 57 per person; children aged 6 (inclusive) or below or with a height of 1.4m (inclusive) or below, and seniors aged 60 (inclusive) or above can enjoy free admission.

🗺️ Hiking Routes
🧗‍♀️ Hongmen Hiking Route (Classic Hiking Route): Starting from Dai Temple, the route is 9.5 km long with 7,863 steps. There are many cultural relics and historical sites along the way, including Dai Zong Archway, Hongmen Palace, and Jing Shi Yu. It is suitable for friends who are in good physical condition and want to experience Mount Taishan culture in depth. The whole journey takes 3–6 hours.
🚌 Tianwaicun Hiking Route (Easy Route): Starting from Tianwaicun Square, first take a tourist bus for CNY 35 per person to Zhongtianmen, and then choose to walk or take a cable car for CNY 100 per person for a one-way trip up the mountain. The whole journey is easy and suitable for families with elderly and children. The whole journey takes about 1.5–2.5 hours (including travel time).
🚗 Taohuayu Hiking Route (Romantic Route): Starting from Taohuayu Tourist Center in the western part of Mount Taishan, first take a tourist bus for CNY 35 per person to the lower station of Taohuayuan Cable Car, and then take a cable car for CNY 100 per person for a one-way trip to the summit of Mount Taishan. The colorful Stone Stream along the way has beautiful scenery, which is suitable for self-driving tourists. The whole journey takes about 1.5–2 hours (including travel time).

🌄 Watching the Sunrise
📍 The best places to watch the sunrise are Jade Emperor Peak and Riguang Peak.
🕙 You can check the sunrise time on the scenic area's official website or weather forecast software, and plan your hiking time in advance. Night climbs usually start at 11pm–12am and reach the top of the mountain at 3–4am the next day.
🥼 The temperature on the mountain is low. You can bring your own thick coat, or rent a military coat on the top of the mountain.

🍜 Food
Taishan Pancake: Crispy and delicious, you can add various fillings.
Taishan Sanmei: Chinese cabbage, tofu and Mount Taishan spring water are stewed together, and the soup is delicious.
Tai'an Fried Chicken: The meat is tender and has a strong flavor.

🏠 Accommodation
Staying on the mountain is convenient for watching the sunrise, but the price is high and the conditions are limited, such as the Mount Taishan Shenqi Hotel.
There are many accommodation options at the foot of the mountain, and the prices are affordable. You can choose to stay near Hongmen or Tianwaicun for easy access to the mountain, such as the Tai'an Baosheng Hotel.

Pay attention to the weather in advance, and prepare rain gear and sunscreen.
Wear comfortable sneakers when climbing the mountain.
Bring an appropriate amount of high-energy food and water, as prices on the mountain are slightly higher.
Remember to bring a flashlight for night climbs.
