Taicang | 72 Ideal Villages | Weekend Escape Plan

| 72 Ideal Villages | Weekend Escape Plan. I wanted to escape Shanghai and see somewhere more open. I finally found 72 Ideal Villages, and it was perfect!

Battery & Riverbank: We took a taxi to the innermost part of the village, and walked along the riverbank to the end of the riverbank. This is the mouth of the Yangtze River, so it is very wide. But after all, it is the Yangtze River, so the water is still very turbid. If you want to see the blue of the sea, you won't find it here.

Jiangwai Coffee & Sanlian Bookstore & Tree Frog Tribe: There are many coffee shops in the village! These are all very nice! Especially when it's hot at noon, it's nice to buy a cup of coffee and hide indoors.

Train: Locate the Jianghai Reception Room, and there is a train and a station sign opposite. There is a train every half an hour, and it takes about 40 minutes to go around. It costs 30 yuan. Because of the typhoon the day before, the train was still under maintenance, so we didn't get to ride it, which was a huge regret.

Observation Deck: There is a hydrological observation deck near the riverbank at the innermost part of the village. You can go up and see the whole village and the scenery by the river. There is almost no one there, and there is an elevator. I recommend going! It costs 15 yuan per person, and it is very comfortable!

Village: One side of the village is the riverbank, and the other side is farmland. The rice fields smell so good in this weather. The windmills and haystacks are all in the village, and it is very big. If you are afraid of walking, you can rent an electric bike, but it is a bit expensive. If there are about 4 people, it is very cost-effective!

Food: The only regret is that there is no particularly delicious farmhouse food in the whole village. We finally went to eat old duck soup at Duck Wharf, which costs 158 yuan for a whole duck.
