Taichung's Fifth Market, formerly known as Asahi Town Consumer Market, was originally established during the Japanese colonial period. It is located between Suehiro Town and Asahi Town in Taichung City and is the fifth modern traditional market. Established in 1937, it has been in use ever since. The market offers a variety of local delicacies, including rice balls, noodles, meat porridge, squid soup, tea, pork ribs, steamed meatballs, and daily necessities. The key point is that the prices are very reasonable. However, please remember to visit in the morning, as many shops close in the afternoon for a break.
