Introducing Dahongpao Scenic Area

The Dahongpao Scenic Area, one of Wuyi Mountain's four major scenic areas, boasts a unique blend of steep peaks and deep canyons. Some peaks are isolated, others lean, some rise high, some appear stacked, and some appear split, creating a myriad of shapes and postures that defy description. Streams crisscross the mountains, waterfalls cascade, snow sprays spray, and the mountains echo through the valleys. Atop the rocky slopes and peaks, ancient pines crisscross, lush bamboos sway, and mountain flowers bloom.

Da Hong Pao , Wuyi Mountain's most renowned tea, grows on a steep cliff face within Jiulongke. Clear springs seep through the canyon, ensuring the tea's exceptional quality, renowned both domestically and internationally. Jiulongke, dotted with clusters of this renowned tea, is known as the Tea Kingdom. Further east, one reaches Tianxin Rock. Beneath the rock lies Yongle Temple , Wuyi Mountain's largest Buddhist temple .

The scenic area also boasts three canyons running from west to east: Huiyuankeng, Niulankeng, and Mazikeng. Tea plantations, ranging from small individual plants resembling bonsai to large, carpeted fields, are the primary production area for Wuyi rock tea.
