"Climbing High to See Far Away, Keeping the Mind as Clear as Before: A Visit to Daguan Pavilion"
Walking along a mountain path, a pavilion suddenly appeared deep in the woods. It's called Daguan Pavilion. A simple wooden structure, unassuming, it quietly perches on the mountainside, nestled among the mountains and white clouds, accompanied by the sound of wind and birdsong.
I paused there, speechless for a moment. The scenery was expansive and unobstructed. As far as the eye could see, the mountains undulated like a painting, and the mists and clouds brushed against my fingertips. Here, the distant antennae and earth veins seemed to merge, creating a sense that the universe can truly be embraced within one's heart, if only one is willing to let go of thoughts and observe quietly. The pavilion's name, "Daguan," not only symbolizes ascending to a height to see far into the distance, but also serves as a reminder to cultivate the mind. "Da" means understanding and integration; "Guan" means contemplation and introspection. This pavilion is not only a place for viewing the scenery, but also a small spiritual center.
Sitting in the pavilion, gazing at the distant mountains, a thought suddenly struck me:
Only by traveling a long distance can one appreciate the preciousness of something nearby;
Only by letting go of certain thoughts can one truly see the scenery.
At this moment, the mountains are silent, the clouds are silent, and the pavilion is just a pavilion.
But in my heart, it feels like an old friend, sitting with me, watching the wind, the clouds, and myself.
