Walking through the woods of Fushoushan, sunlight streamed through the coniferous forests. I walked gently until I arrived at a lake embraced by tranquility—Yuanyang Lake.

The lake is small, yet as quiet as a mirror, reflecting the mountains, the sky, and a love story hidden by time.

The sign reads: Once upon a time, an Atayal hunter, chasing prey, accidentally fell into the lake and died. His lover, unwilling to live alone, followed him into the lake to commit suicide. In memory of this deeply loved couple, the people named this place "Yuanyang Lake."

Reading this story, my heart calmed. Love in the mountains requires no vows or marriage certificates, only a sincere desire to follow you, to the end of the world.

This lake remembers them; the mountains and forests keep vigil for them in silence. Time is silent, the water is silent, but when travelers approach, they gently let you feel: there has been love and tears here.
