Fuzhong Street, across from the Tainan Confucius Temple, is a tourist street with a strong commercial atmosphere. Little did you know that the winding alleys on both sides actually hide many hidden treasure shops. If you hadn’t visited the shops, you wouldn’t have known that #abbycoffee had such a great atmosphere.

Abby coffee is a late night coffee shop that opens at 7:30 pm on weekdays and only opens early at 3:30 pm on weekends. The interior of the store gives people a very retro and literary feeling, with white walls, red bricks, warm and dim lights and wooden furniture. The whole space creates a very comfortable and relaxing atmosphere.

It was a drizzling afternoon on a holiday and there were few people around. I unexpectedly visited Abby coffee. The clerk kindly introduced and arranged a seat by the window, which means the boss is too lean on his staff and can hold the whole place by himself! Not only do you have to take orders, but you also have to serve the food and settle the bill.

The coffee and tea drinks are of very high quality. They even have the French classic Mariage Frères #马黑兄弟茶, which has a strong floral and fruity spice flavor and a warm, pure and elegant taste. The other cup is Sicilian lemon coffee, which is refreshing and slightly sour in the cool summer.

For dessert, we ordered caramel pudding and cast iron pan marshmallow muffins. The cast iron pan muffins were very beautiful, especially the slightly roasted marshmallows, which were soft and sweet, and surprisingly went well with the crispy muffins, creating two different levels of taste.

Many people recommend visiting at night for a better atmosphere. If you want to have a late-night coffee or a small gathering with a few friends, the alleys of Fuzhong Street and Kaishan Road would be a good choice.
