Shennong Street in Tainan

A street filled with historic buildings and old houses, it may not be long, but it is full of local Tainan vibes. The entire street is adorned with various hand-painted lanterns, immersing visitors in its charm! At the very end, you can see a massive banyan tree that has completely merged with the houses, creating a spectacular sight!
Shennong Street has many small shops offering handmade and creative cultural products. These unique shops are great for browsing, though many of them prohibit photography. If you want to buy something, it's best to check online first.
My mom was thrilled to buy a teacup and tea tray, but when I checked online, I found out they were from Taobao and marked up by more than ten times! She felt like a fool and, despite initially loving Shennong Street, she probably won't want to shop there again 😂
The atmosphere here is still quite nice 😆
