Xizhuwei Hill - A cultural and creative park transformed from a staff dormitory

Xizhuwei Hill Cultural and Creative Park is located on Yule Street, East District, Tainan City. It is a creative park full of cultural atmosphere. The park was originally the staff dormitory of Tainan No. 1 High School. After renovation, it was officially opened in August 2020 and revitalized into Tainan's cultural and creative design base with many handmade studios.

The park includes a city-designated historic site - the former Tainan Governor's Residence. The restoration and revitalization of these historical buildings have injected new vitality into the local cultural and creative industries. The main building is a Western-style villa with a large reception restaurant and other rooms, which is very elegant.

The building complex of Xizhuwei Hill consists of 18 two-story reinforced brick townhouses, 10 of which are on the east side and 8 on the south side. These dormitory complexes are surrounded by walls and each building is equipped with a vestibule, creating a unique cultural atmosphere.

Xizhuwei Hill Cultural and Creative Park is not only a gathering place for cultural and creative workers, but also a good place for tourists to learn about Tainan’s history and culture.
