Luermen Tianhou Temple Another old temple of Mazu, which may have been built in the 17th century, is located in Annan District, Tainan. The temple was flooded in 1871 and renovated again in 1947. It was expanded to its current size. The temple is spacious and beautiful. Inside is Mazu, the goddess of the sea, who is revered by Taiwanese people. If you come to Tainan, we recommend you stop by at least once. However, you have to travel quite a bit out of town, and it is very difficult to get a taxi back from this area.
