This is the levee next to Sicao Bridge in Anping District, Tainan. Coinciding with the 200th anniversary of the founding of the Taijiang Village Society in Tainan, the "Opening the River" art installation exhibition is being held. The "My Sea, My River" installation, featuring a grandmother squatting on the levee with her grandson on her back, made from pieces of driftwood, has attracted many visitors. The artwork vividly depicts the grandmother on the levee, carrying her grandson, facing the sea, as if pointing her to her own location and hoping to guide them home through this faint light. "The 200th Anniversary of Taijiang Village" is both a look back and a look forward to the future. It embodies the spirit of the people of Taijiang, who "forged their own path through the inland sea," a spirit of fearlessness, solidarity, and pioneering spirit. Through these activities, Taijiang residents reconnect with their history and their land, while also allowing visitors to explore the region and gain a new perspective on the depth and breadth of Tainan.
