Sword Lion Park, located at the intersection of Anping Road and Anbei Road in Anping District, Tainan, serves as the entrance to the Anping Harbor National Historic Scenic Area. The park celebrates Anping's unique "sword lion" culture, transforming traditional talismans into charming public art.

The park's most striking feature is the main sculpture of the "male and female sword lions," designed by artist Zeng Yingdong. The obverse depicts a mighty male lion holding seven gold coins, inscribed "Anping." The reverse depicts a compassionate female lion holding seven hearts, inscribed "Peace," both of which convey profound meaning. Additionally, the park displays nine sword lions, modeled after Zheng Chenggong and his generals, arranged on a ship-shaped platform, symbolizing their historic journeys protecting Anping.

Although small, this park seamlessly blends Anping's history and culture with modern creativity, making it a perfect starting point for learning about sword lion culture. Located near famous snacks like Wang's Fish Skin, it's a perfect first stop on an Anping trip.
