
Wugong Mountain in Anfu County, Ji'an City, Jiangxi Province, is located in the northern section of the Luoxiao Mountains. It encompasses two-thirds of Wugong Mountain. Anfu Wugong Mountain is a scenic spot that combines both cultural and natural landscapes and is a National AAAA-level scenic spot.
Wugong Mountain boasts a series of spectacular peaks, rugged landscapes, and strangely shaped rocks, with deep ravines and valleys everywhere, creating a breathtaking scenery. Peaks are precipitous cliffs, and springs and waterfalls gushed out. Standing and gazing out from afar, you can take in the panoramic views of villages and fields, creating a scene that evokes the feeling of "clouds and mountains stretching across a vast expanse, and the sun and moon in the sky seem to touch shoulders."
Its scenic spots are spread all over the mountain, and are known as "one lake, two springs, five waterfalls, seven pools, seven rocks, eight peaks, sixteen caves, and seventy-five miles of scenery." The scenic area includes 100,000 mu of alpine meadows, the Red Rock Peak Waterfalls, and the Golden Summit Ancient Altar, which are considered the three most stunning views in the south of the Yangtze River and are fascinating.
Boasting a subtropical humid monsoon climate, Wugong Mountain is a mountainous scenic spot that integrates both cultural and natural landscapes. It is the last virgin mountain in the Jiangnan region currently under development, renowned throughout history and steeped in cultural heritage. It is suitable for travel in all seasons.
Experts have summarized the characteristics and resources of Wugong Mountain as "magnificent mountain scenery, unique waterfalls, spectacular meadows, excellent ecology, remarkable astronomical phenomena, and a rich cultural heritage." The planned area covers 160 square kilometers, with over 200 scenic spots planned. The entire scenic area is divided into seven core scenic areas: Jinding Peak, Jifeng Peak, Yangshimu, Wugong Lake, Yang Simu, Jiulong Mountain, Fayunjie, and Juewupo Slope.
The area has naturally formed a complete mountain scenery of "peaks, caves, waterfalls, rocks, clouds, pines and temples". The 100,000 mu of alpine meadows in the area stretch to the top of the mountain with an altitude of more than 1,600 meters, and complement the majestic mountain terrain, which is unparalleled in the world; the mysterious ancient altars on the top of the peak have a history of more than 1,700 years and are known as one of the unique ones in China; the magnificent alpine waterfalls, sunrise over the sea of clouds, stalagmites piercing the clouds, peculiar rocks and ancient pines, peak forest landforms and well-preserved virgin forests, giant living Ganoderma lucidum and other landscapes make visitors breathtaking.
