Praying at Lingshan: The Quiet Mind of Zhinan Palace

In the dim morning light, I climbed up the stairs and reached the Zhinan Palace hidden among the mountains of Wenshan. A winding stone staircase leads to the misty temple, seemingly guiding people towards inner peace. The archway in front of the temple shines with golden light, and the three characters "Zhi Nan Palace" on the plaque are majestic, evoking awe of heaven and earth. The temple is filled with incense, and believers devoutly worship Taoist gods and pray for peace and well-being. I gently stroked the bamboo wishing tube and drew the lot calmly. A poem seemed to hide a revelation of fate, which made people savor the mystery carefully. The observation deck behind the temple is the most fascinating place in Zhinan Palace. Looking out over the Taipei Basin from afar, the city’s skyscrapers vaguely emerge in the mist, like a painting of the fusion of the human world and the heavenly world. The mountain breeze is gentle by my ears, and the worries in my heart disappear, replaced by deep tranquility and satisfaction. This holy place in the mountains is not only a place to pray, but also a pure land to find inner peace.
