This is the preserved mansion of Mr. Lin, who came to Taiwan from Fujian Province and made his fortune through shipping and cargo trade. Built in 1783, this house is said to be the oldest remaining house in Taipei City! You can see this mansion with over 200 years of history for free.
You can feel the history of hundreds of years while relaxing in the large pond and garden, and even though it's free, there are surprisingly few Japanese people in sight... It's a short distance away, so we recommend visiting it if you have the chance! It's a great place to visit along with the nearby Flora Expo Park and art museum.
