National Palace Museum - Taiwan

If you're visiting Taiwan, you can't miss the National Palace Museum, commonly referred to by Thai people as "Gu Gong Museum." It's located slightly outside the city, but getting there is easy with buses running from downtown Taipei throughout the day. The museum is open from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM and is closed every Monday. Admission is 350 NT. The museum showcases over a thousand pieces of art and ancient artifacts. Among the most famous exhibits are the Jadeite Cabbage and the Meat-shaped Stone, which are incredibly lifelike. Unfortunately, when we visited, these items were on rotation and displayed elsewhere. However, we were lucky enough to see the intricately hand-carved jade ball with seven nested layers. For us, this museum is a place where you can spend the entire day exploring.
