A slow and cultural tour of Bopiliao Street in the rain

The historical district of Peipi Liao in Wanhua District, Taipei, has preserved very complete old buildings from the late Qing and Japanese occupation periods. It is not only a photo spot for cultural and hipsters, but also often has local artists holding painting exhibitions and cultural activities. It is playful and more importantly, free of charge.

Recommended tour routes:
I recommend entering from the main entrance of Lane 173 on Kangding Road and walking slowly along the old street, admiring the old western-style buildings and brick walls on both sides of the street and feeling the atmosphere of old Taipei life. Walk to the end of the street and you will see a small art and cultural space. There are usually exhibitions to see. Don't miss it if you encounter a painting exhibition or a photography exhibition. In addition, there are more cultural and creative markets on weekends, with small stalls such as locally designed crafts and homemade baked goods.
