Tucked away in the corner of the Qingguang shopping district, Yatai Tenkawa doesn't have a prominent sign, but it exudes the alluring aroma of teppanyaki. I ordered a plate of yakisoba, and the noodles were soaked in the sauce without being mushy. The charred aroma lingered in my mouth, giving it a slightly sweet Japanese flavor. The bonito flakes atop them swayed with the steam, a soothing sight.
This small, hidden spot in an alleyway doesn't boast ostentatious presentation, but it manages to capture the perfect balance of saltiness, aroma, and warmth. As I walked out of the stall after my meal, I could still smell the teppanyaki aroma lingering on my hands. At that moment, I truly realized how simple things can be so satisfying.
