Of all the restaurants, this was the one I most wanted to try. Combining traditional Chinese calligraphy with modern lighting and glass displays, it boasts a stylish atmosphere that blends the old and the new. Especially when I heard that reservations required a black card, I thought it was a bit of a rip-off 😆, but my thoughtful friend still managed to let me enjoy this exquisite and delicious authentic Cantonese cuisine!
💫Chinese cuisine is vast and profound; in fact, the boundaries between some regional cuisines, such as Cantonese or Shanghainese, aren't so clear-cut. Anyway, here are two must-try dishes: roast duck and spicy prawns—both are delicious no matter what you order.
1) Xi Shi Rice Porridge: I absolutely loved the rich crab roe broth. The cod and abundant seafood created a diverse and satisfying texture. The addition of crispy rice bits as a finishing touch was a highlight—I loved it! 💕
2) Steamed Crab Roe and Water Chestnut Meatloaf: Although it looks like you're eating crab roe and meat, you must eat it with the meatloaf underneath. It's worth the trip with the crunchy water chestnuts! 🐷 I would still eat it even without crab!
💫The Autumn Crab🦀 Feast is now underway, and many dim sum dishes are only available at lunchtime. It's easy to imagine how difficult it will be to book at lunchtime. I'll definitely try the dim sum sometime! I was very satisfied with the dessert, "Bird's Nest and Almond Juice Fried Dumplings." Although I felt the black sesame filling was a bit too strong, the soft and chewy almond filling was amazing. The bird's nest on top is just a nice touch 😂
